Getting along in a new country is a challenge. Especially if you don’t yet speak the language. It quickly became clear to me that if you want to work, shop and talk to people, you need more than just good intentions. I needed German – and I needed it in a way that would fit into my everyday life with a child.
No contact, no progress
“I can’t talk to people.” – This sentence stood for many small hurdles: at the doctor, in the store, when talking to neighbors. It made everyday life unnecessarily difficult. What did I wish for? An easier life – through language that carries. And I knew that I could only really arrive here if I could communicate.
Searched online – and finally found
I found what I was looking for on the Internet. The German course at Lernstudio Barbarossa sounded just right: clearly structured, friendly support – and with a focus on what matters to me: Time and flexibility. Because I have a child and wanted to learn without overwhelming myself. The team on site responded to my situation – with patience, structure and a teacher who made all the difference.
Step by step to more understanding
It wasn’t about being perfect. It was about understanding better – I wanted to feel less lost. That’s exactly what I managed to do on the course: I learned to grasp connections, follow conversations and move more confidently in everyday life. Small progress, big impact. And for the first time I had the feeling: I can do this.

The next step is already planned
The desire to learn has remained – and is growing. Now I want to continue with the B1 course. Because my goal is clear: to speak better, appear confident and act more independently. My message to others who may be hesitant:
